Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or homemade whipped cream!

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
1 1/4 cup sugar, divided
1 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk, whole
3 cups blackberries

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8 x 8-inch baking dish (or a 9-inch round dish should work).

Mix together 1 cup of the sugar, the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk. Stir in the melted butter. Mix until smooth.

Spread into prepared dish. Pour berries on top and sprinkle remaining sugar over the berries.

Bake until golden brown, 50 to 60 minutes.
